The video on this page consists of clips cut out of a dvd in standard, commercial video-dvd file format, brought along by one of our clients. We converted the whole dvd to an editable format, cut out the clips, added subtitles, transition effects, and a few stills of our own creation. After this we encoded the trailer to a format suitable for streaming web-video. The demo is not transferred as genuine streaming video, though - this would require our client to have a host offering a special (and expensive) streaming media web server.
The trailer is transferred from server by means of what is called 'progressive download'. If you don't have a large bandwidth you'll notice that (first time around) the video plays a little, then stops, plays a little, stops, etc. This phenomenon (besides indicating a slow connection) reveals that it is a progressive download rather than genuine streaming. Once the whole clip is downloaded, it's in your browsers cache and plays smoothly. So, rather than watching the video as first thing, do something else for a while (read this info, for example).
Cyberstar Design offers services within the whole range of products and tasks associated with web video and music. You provide us with the raw material (in any digital format) and we do the rest according to your wishes and requirements.
Our charges are quite reasonable. E.g. for a project similar to the one, described and demonstrated above, we charge 5 USD pr. playing minute plus a base fee of 10 USD, which is revoked if your material already is in an editable format. (Our minimum charge is 10 USD for any project, though).
As a special promotion we can offer you 50% discount if you accept our logo discreetly at the bottom for the first and last 3-4 seconds of the video (we don't require anything like the fullscreen commercials in the demo).
